Annual Dues
CKD Academy Annual Dues are due this month. Annual Dues help to cover insurance and administrative costs. Dues are $25 for students enrolled in the Traditional Keichu-Do program and $15 for those enrolled in the Mighty Warrior program and in the Lil Warrior program. Students who registered after May 1st, 2024, do not have to pay Annual Dues this year, your Annual Dues will be due the following year. Please turn in your Annual Dues by the end of the month. Any questions see Sensei Heather or Sensei Travis.

Dojo Closed
Dojo will be closed on Monday, September 2nd, for Labor Day. Classes resume on Tuesday, September 3rd.

Sparring Class
All Traditional Keichu-Do students and Mighty Warrior students are invited to join us for Sparring Class. Classes will be September 6th & September 20th from 7:15pm-8:15pm. The cost is $15 per month. If you don’t have your own sparring gear, don’t worry we have gear you can borrow. Students do need to have their own mouth piece and boys need to wear groin cups. Sign up at the Front Desk to come!

Open Dojo
Open Dojo is for all Traditional Keichu-Do students and Mighty Warrior students. It’s an extra practice session to help you improve on the techniques you’ve been learning in class. Come and join us Saturday, September 7th, from 10:00am to 11:00am. Senseis will be there to help and guide students. Sign up at the Front Desk to attend.
Parent's Night Out
Every parent deserves a break, so drop the kids off at Parent’s Night Out and enjoy an evening to yourself. Parent’s Night Out will be September 14th from 6:30pm-10:00pm and is open to students, siblings, and friends of students ages 5 and up. Sign up at the Front Desk to save your spot and join us for an evening full of fun, games, pizza, and a movie. Cost is $20 per kid.

Congratulations
On August 24th several of our students were tested over all their requirements. Each and everyone of them worked hard and their hard work paid off! Congratulations goes out to Lochlan, Rey, Alejandro, Melissa, Sophia S., Tobias, Aaron, Tati, Valente on earning their Junior Yellow Belt. Congratulations also goes out to Lorelai, Nyah, and Sophia M. on earning their Yellow Belt and to Noah, Silas, and Finn on earning their Orange Belt.

Upcoming Tournament
The United States Association of Martial Artists California State Karate Championships will be on Saturday, October 19th in Jurupa Valley. Students can compete in Kata, Kumite (Sparring), and Kobudo (Weapons). Those wanting to compete will need to register online. More information will be on the flyer on the bulletin board.

Tournament Practice
Student who are interested in competing at the upcoming California State Karate Championships are encouraged to attend our first tournament practice on Saturday, September 7th, from 11:30am to 12:30pm.

September's Sensei's Challegne
Sensei’s Challenge for September is Balancing V. Your goal is to be able to hold a Balancing V for 2 minutes. Let’s see how many of you will beat the challenge!
