Dojo Champion

Congratulations to Luke Thach for not only beating June’s Sensei’s Challenge but also setting an amazing record of 104 Perfect Pushups without stopping. Way to go, Luke!!!

Dojo Closed

The dojo will be closed on Thursday, July 4th, for Independence Day. Classes will resume Friday, July 5th. We hope you all have a fun and safe 4th of July!

Sparring Class

All Traditional Keichu-Do students and Mighty Warrior students are invited to join us for Sparring Class. Classes will be July 5th and July 19th from 7:15pm-8:15pm. The cost is $15 per month. If you don’t have your own sparring gear, don’t worry we have gear you can borrow. Students do need to have their own mouth piece and boys need to wear groin cups. Sign up at the Front Desk to come!

Open Dojo

Open Dojo is for all Traditional Keichu-Do students and Mighty Warrior students. It’s an extra practice session to help you improve on the techniques you’ve been learning in class. Come and join us Saturday, July 6th, from 10:00am to 11:00am. Senseis will be there to help and guide students. Sign up at the Front Desk to attend.

Keichu Training Day

All students are welcome to come and participate in our Annual CKD Academy Keichu Training Day on Saturday, August 10th. Students in our Lil Warrior program will attend the 9:30am-10:15am session. Students in our Mighty Warrior program will attend the 10:30am t0 11:30am session. Please note that Lil Warrior and Mighty Warrior sessions require a parent to participate. Students in our Traditional Keichu-Do program will attend the 1:00pm to 3:30pm session. See Sensei Heather or Sensei Travis to sign up.


American Flag Patch

All Mighty Warrior and Traditional Keichu-Do students are challenged to earn their American Flag Patch this month. Students must memorize and be able to recite The Pledge of Allegiance, the first verse of The Star-Spangled Banner, and a Quote from the Declaration of Independence. Everything can be found on page 17 of your Student Handbook. Once you are ready see Sensei Heather or Sensei Travis to earn you Flag Patch.

July's Sensei's Challegne

July’s Sensei’s Challenge is Flutter Kicks. Students must be able to do Flutter Kicks for a full minute without stopping.

Summer Day Program

In addition to our regular classes we will also be offering special week long summer day programs. This is a great opportunity for students to get in further training and for siblings and friends to experience martial arts. Each week is a different focus and anyone can participate. No experience is required. Brochures are available at the front desk and more information is on our website.

  • 7/8-7/12 - Weapons - Bokken (ages 6 and up)

  • 7/22-7/26 - Ninja Challenge (ages 6 and up)5

  • 7/29-8/2 - Weapons - Nunchaku (ages 6 and up)
