Congratulations

Congratulations goes out to Alejandro G., Drake H., and Nathaniel C. on earning their Yellow Belt and Bryan M. on earning his Jr. Yellow Belt at our October Belt Test. Their hard work and training paid off. Be sure to congratulate them on a job well done!

​​Friday Night Fights

Friday Night Fights is open to all Traditional Keichu-Do and Mighty Warrior students and is free of charge. Friday Night Fights will incorporate Sparring and Grappling techniques and will give students another opportunity to reinforce what they have learned in class. Join us Friday, November 6th & November 20th from 7:15pm-8:15pm. If you don't have your own sparring gear, don't worry we have gear you can borrow. Students do need to have their own mouth piece and boys need to wear groin cups.

Open Dojo

Open Dojo is Saturday, November 7th, from 10am to 11am. Open Dojo is an extra practice session to help you improve on the techniques you've been learning in class. It is open for all Traditional Keichu-Do and Might Warrior students. Sign up at the Front Desk and join us November 7th.

Parent's Night Out

Parent's Night Out is a ton of fun and a great way to get to know other students. Join us on Saturday, November 14th, from 6:30pm-10pm. You won't want to miss it! Parent's Night Out is full of fun, games, pizza, and a movie and is open to kids ages 5 and up. Cost is just $20 per kid. Siblings and friends of students are welcome to join in the fun as well. Sign up at the Front Desk to save your spot.

Thanksgiving Break

The dojo will be closed November 25th through November 28th for Thanksgiving Break. Classes will resume November 30th. We hope you all have a great Thanksgiving!

November's Sensei's Challenge

Sensei's Challenge for this month is Rear Crane. You are challenged to hold a Rear Crane stance for 1 minute each side. Let's see who can build the balance and strength necessary to beat this challenge!

If you didn't know Sensei Heather and Sensei Travis are a crafty lot and each have their own side hustle. Sensei Travis does wood turning and Sensei Heather creates wooden decor and gifts. On Saturday, November 21st from 9:30am to 3:30pm stop by and see us at the First Christian Holiday Market, 1550 S. College Drive, Santa Maria. You just might find some one of a kind treasures and the perfect gift for the upcoming holidays!

CKD Academy Christmas Party

Mark your calendar and join us for the 2026 CKD Academy Christmas Party. All CKD Academy students and their families are invited! The party will be on Sunday, December 13th, from 2pm-4pm at Rancho Bowl. Circle the date on your calendar and join us for a fun afternoon of bowling and Christmas cookies!
