​​Friday Night Fights

Friday Night Fights is open to all Traditional Keichu-Do students and Mighty Warrior students and is free of charge. Friday Night Fights will incorporate Sparring and Grappling techniques and will give students another opportunity to reinforce what they have learned in class. Join us Friday, September 4th & September 18th from 7:15pm-8:15pm. If you don’t have your own sparring gear, don’t worry we have gear you can borrow. Students do need to have their own mouth piece and boys need to wear groin cups.

Open Dojo

Open Dojo will not be held this month since the dojo will be closed for Labor Day weekend. Mark your calendar for next month’s Open Dojo which will be October 3rd.

Dojo Closed

The dojo will be closed Saturday, September 5th, through Monday, September 7th, for Labor Day weekend. Classes will resume on Tuesday, September 8th.​​

CKD Academy Annual Dues

CKD Academy Annual Dues are due this month. Annual Dues help to cover insurance and administrative costs. Dues are $25 for students enrolled in the Traditional Keichu-Do program and $15 for those enrolled in the Mighty Warrior program and in the Lil Warrior program. Students who registered after May 1st, 2026, do not have to pay Annual Dues this year, your Annual Dues will be due the following year. Please turn in your Annual Dues by the 21st of September. Parent's Night Out

Come, join the fun!! Parent’s Night Out is a blast and all kids ages 5 and up are invited to come. Parents, enjoy an evening off while the kids are at Parent’s Night Out enjoying fun games, eating pizza, and watching a movie. The cost is just $20 per kid and goes from 6:30pm-10:00pm on Saturday, September 19th. Siblings and friends of students are welcome to join in the fun as well. Sign up at the Front Desk to save your spot.

September's Sensei's Challenge

Sensei’s Challenge for this month is Burpees. You’re challenged to do 20 or more Burpees within 1 minutes. Let’s see who all will pass this challenge!

CKD Hoodie/T-Shirt Order

Place your order for a CKD Academy hoodie and t-shirt order starting September 1st through September 25th. Hoodies are $30 ($35 for sizes XL and larger). Colored T-Shirts are $20 ($25 for sizes XL and larger). Long-sleeve T-Shirts are $25 ($30 for sizes XXL and larger). All orders need to be in by the 25th and payment is due when ordering.

Bring A Friend

Heads up! Students in our Traditional Keichu-Do classes and Mighty Warrior classes can invite their friends to join them for class October 12th through 16th. Friends must be ages 5 or older and not currently enrolled at CKD. The student who brings the most friends will win a private lesson with Sensei Heather or Sensei Travis. Let’s see who’ll bring the most friends!

Next Belt Test

Our next Belt Test will be held Saturday, October 24th. Students who have demonstrated in class that they have the required knowledge and skill necessary for their next rank will be given a Notification of Test. We are hoping to see a number of our students testing for their next rank. Be sure to be practicing and making each of your techniques better and better!
